In a major crackdown on illicit drug supply, the Drugs Control Department in Gurugram arrested a 22-year-old man for selling spurious medicines and steroids without a valid drug license. The drive was aimed at unauthorized growth hormones, anabolic steroids, and expired drugs being supplied to gym enthusiasts and bodybuilders.

The accused, 22-year-old Hari Om from Palam Vihar, was arrested for peddling fake drugs and steroids illegally.
A crackdown on a Gurugram's Sector 31 gym revealed stockpiles of fake growth hormone and steroid injectables, among them expired doses.
Investigations showed that Indiamart was being used as a site where anabolic steroids and growth hormones were illegally sold, following similar selling being prohibited on Alibaba.com.
The illegal exports contravened several drug laws and regulations.
Location of Somatropin injection, a common agent for muscle development, was being sold without prescription, posing serious health risks to the users.
